From the arm to the brain: an innovative migraine treatment
The Nerivio device is controlled by a smartphone app and is worn on the upper arm for 45 minutes every other day for prevention or at the start of a migraine attack for acute treatment. During a treatment, Nerivio stimulates nerves in the upper arm through Remote Electrical Neuromodulation (REN)—nerves that carry pain signals to the brain. This action triggers a pain-management response by the brain and works with the body to naturally turn off migraine pain without medications.

"Nerivio® is indicated for the acute and/or preventive treatment of migraine with or without aura in patients 12 years of age or older.
Nerivio® has the following contraindications:
- The device should not be used by people with uncontrolled epilepsy.
- The device should not be used by people with an active implanted medical device, such as a pacemaker, hearing implant, or any implanted electronic device. Such use could cause electric shock, electrical interference, or serious injuries and medical conditions.
Nerivio® has the following adverse effects:
During treatment with Nerivio® you may experience a temporary sensation of heat, local tingling, numbness in the arm, pain in the arm, redness of the skin, which should disappear shortly after completing the treatment.
